Our classes take place in swimming facilities in the hearts of communities across the North East, offering a familiar and comfortable setting for swimmers of all ages. Each pool provides a safe, child and family-friendly environment with features that are perfect for lessons, from baby splashes to advanced training.
Firstly, I’d like to say I moved Oliver to Harton from Hebburn for the closeness to home, and it was so straightforward. Oliver has not only learned how to swim, he has grown in confidence, loves to be in the pool when I take him swimming, and always tells me how good he is getting, which makes me a super proud Dad, and my Dad (who brings him to class) a super proud Grandad. Every colleague at Swimfun is an absolute credit to the brand.

We have been bringing Robin swimming to Swimfun since September. It genuinely is the highlight of our week. Over the last couple of months we have seen so much progress. He holds on to the side, kicks his legs and has so much confidence in the water. This is all thanks to the wonderful work done by the instructors. Freddie has been with Swimfun now for 4-5 years. When we initially did 1-2-1 lessons with Swimfun, the teachers were so patient with him and made the lessons fun. Within a few sessions, his love of swimming returned; he was diving underwater in the deep end and before we knew it swimming independently. Within the space of a few months, he had progressed a billion times more than what he had with the previous swim school.

Hugo has always struggled with his confidence in the water. However, over this term, during his lessons with Paul his confidence has grown hugely. Paul’s attitude when teaching is calm and patient and he always shows his support for each of the children in the group. Hugo is far more confident in the water now and will comfortably jump in, splash around and actively swim with a little help from floating aids.

We are so pleased with Robyn’s development since starting Swimfun. Her confidence in the water is just growing greater and from starting with arm floats to passing 4 stages within 3 terms is fantastic. Her current teacher, Charlotte ‘Sibbs’, has played a massive part in this. Her attitude and enthusiasm to teaching clearly gets results, not only does Robyn love to go swimming she loves her teacher which is always a bonus.

At Swimfun, everyone is welcome! As ex-professional swimmers ourselves, we believe in creating a truly inclusive space in which every swimmer, no matter their age or ability, is part of the Swimfun family. Our small class sizes and in-pool teachers ensure individual attention, helping each swimmer grow at their own pace.
Our instructors are also trained to work with children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We adapt our teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child, ensuring a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning experience for all.
