Our classes take place in swimming facilities in the hearts of communities across the North East, offering a familiar and comfortable setting for swimmers of all ages. Each pool provides a safe, child and family-friendly environment with features that are perfect for lessons, from baby splashes to advanced training.
I am just so grateful for all of the extra time and patience from the staff while Ethan has been learning to swim. Ethan had such a bad phobia of water he would only stand in the bath, panicked whenever water went near his face or ears. Now he is not only jumping but leaping into the pool, swimming on his back and now finally learning front crawl and breathing techniques. He is like a different child and I really didn’t think we would ever get here.

The lessons are so well structured and the swimmers’ teachers – special shout out to Owen – really know how to get the best out of the kids. Dylan loves his swimming class and has really improved since joining. Max is a natural in the water and this was recognised at such an early age and being so young did not stop your teachers nurturing that natural ability and allowing him to flourish.

My little boy George has only had lessons for around 3 month from the wonderful Georgia at Gibside school. At Swimfun, everyone is welcome! As ex-professional swimmers ourselves, we believe in creating a truly inclusive space in which every swimmer, no matter their age or ability, is part of the Swimfun family. Our small class sizes and in-pool teachers ensure individual attention, helping each swimmer grow at their own pace.
Our instructors are also trained to work with children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We adapt our teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child, ensuring a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning experience for all.
